Chapter Leader FAQ's

WHAT IS A PROPEL CHAPTER?

A Propel Chapter is a group of women who gather together to use the Propel Curriculum as a tool for connection and conversation. Chapters can be found in 80 countries worldwide.

HOW DO I FIND A CHAPTER IN MY AREA?

We’ve made it easy for you. Search our map directory to find a Propel Chapter in your area and contact the leader!

HOW DO I BECOME AN OFFICIAL PROPEL LEADER?

Hop on over to our Propel Leaders page to find out more information. When you fill out the registration form you will be contacted by someone from the Propel Team to answer any questions you may have.

HOW ARE CHURCHES INTEGRATING PROPEL CHAPTERS INTO THEIR EXISTING STRUCTURE?

Churches are implementing Propel curriculum in two ways: through their small groups and women’s ministries. Our curriculum is easily adaptable to either situation.

It’s perfect for a semester system because you can go through a single curriculum in six easy sessions. Or it works for a year-round system because you can begin with one conversation series, then progress to the next every six weeks.

No matter if your group meets weekly, twice a month, or once a month, our curriculum can be integrated into your structure.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH LEADING A CHAPTER?

The only costs associated with the Propel curriculum are one DVD featuring all six sessions and a workbook for each member of your Chapter.

IS THERE A SPECIFIC ORDER TO THE PROPEL CURRICULUM?

No, the curriculum can be used in any order. You can see all titles here.

CAN MY CHAPTER GO THROUGH A SERIES MORE THAN ONCE?

Absolutely! Many Chapters repeat a series as well as initiate multiple Chapters so more women can experience the Conversation Series.

HOW MUCH HOMEWORK DOES PROPEL CURRICULUM REQUIRE?

Each conversation series were created with busy women in mind. There is no required homework and the content is all designed to be discussed during the Chapter meeting. The accompanying workbook, however, is a great guide for remembering the conversations and notetaking.

HOW OFTEN DO CHAPTERS MEET?

A once-a-week or every-other-week schedule is often preferred.

We suggest that you meet at least once a month at a minimum, so you can remember the content and have effective discussions. If you choose to meet more often, plan for six sessions in every Conversation Series.

WHAT IF THERE IS ALREADY A CHAPTER IN MY AREA? CAN THERE BE MORE THAN ONE IN A CITY?

There can be multiple Chapters in any city or region.

I REALLY WANT TO START A PROPEL CHAPTER BUT HAVE NEVER LED ANYTHING. CAN I STILL LEAD?

Yes! Our curriculum is very easy to facilitate. If you can read, you can lead. We developed it with busy women in mind. When you register as a Propel Leader, you will receive access to leadership resources, including our Leader Hub and monthly leadership webinars with Christine Caine, Megan Dredge, and the Propel Team. We’ve also created a Leader’s Guide to help you walk through the experience of hosting and facilitating a Chapter.

WILL THERE BE MORE PROPEL CONVERSATION SERIES?

Yes! We are designing new curriculum continuously.
